Description:
We will review the latest status of the Section 201, 232 and 301 trade actions, including managing the use of exclusions to obtain refunds of tariffs.

The ICC launched the newest version of Incoterms® with some substantive changes, some new terms, and an in depth introduction that is clearer than previous versions. We will go through it all.

CBP has been active in re interpreting country of origin rules in light of the USTR’s trade actions, and companies are taking a fresh look at how they have been classifying goods in an effort to find an alternative to paying additional tariffs. We will discuss how to handle making any legitimate changes to past transactions that might be required to set the record straight.

“Compliance is easy to push to the side. It is not always in the forefront of your operation. It’s not flashy or exciting. It may be considered an expense that doesn’t generate any revenue, it is so easy to say 'I will get back to Customs tomorrow.' However, the ramifications of being non-compliant are outstanding.”

- Nara Mitchell, Practice Manager, Tradewin
