Seminar description:
After a brief review, this workshop will present shipment scenarios that will require attendees to perform regulatory research and make classification choices, ECCN determinations, and licensing decisions. There will be guidance on how to do research within the EAR and the FTR, and then report exports using ACE. Special attention will be paid to using ACE to create, modify, and save reports to be used in auditing.

The balance of the day will be spent reviewing the latest trends in export compliance, including updates regarding the Export Control Reform Act, CFIUS, Export Control Reform, and changes to the ITAR, the EAR, and the OFAC.

Bring your laptop! Be sure to have an ACE login
(either as an exporter or an importer)

“Compliance is easy to push to the side. It is not always in the forefront of your operation. It’s not flashy or exciting. It may be considered an expense that doesn’t generate any revenue, it is so easy to say 'I will get back to Customs tomorrow.' However, the ramifications of being non-compliant are outstanding.”

- Nara Mitchell, Practice Manager, Tradewin
